There is a top section of the Truffière vineyard, separate from the rest, which is the Clos and a monopole of Benoît Ente’s. The rows are planted north-south, which is a bonus these days as the grapes are less likely to get grilled. Just a faint touch of colour, and an agreeable lime laden nose, almost a touch of sweet and sour, medium bodied. Really quite elegant, an uphill Puligny but a fine one. Very good persistence and coats the teeth. Just 12% alcohol after some hydric stress.
An elegant, pure and beautifully expressive nose of white flowers, citrus and lightly spiced pear aromas is trimmed in a hint of mineral reduction. There is fine richness to the rounder and more seductive yet relatively powerful flavors that coat the palate with sap on the impressively long and refreshing finale. This refined effort is both stylish and very classy.
